A more clinical, objective and medical description of my experience

The lessons learned with Arjana Brunschwiler during my WaterDance 2 training were profound. I was fully able to experience and assimilate the benefits of the dive reflex through improved vital capacity, deep states of meditation/relaxation and improved sleep patterns. As an Occupational therapist, Chinese Medicine practitioner and Watsu practitioner I can say this by far is one of the most powerful modalities that I have encountered as a therapist. This technique of full body submersion elicits for me deep states of healing and an opening to many pathways of cellular memory where past traumas can be released. I can see therapeutically how this somatic aquatic technique can be very beneficial for a variety of medical populations that include; post traumatic stress disorders, musculoskeletal disorders, chronic pain, spinal cord and traumatic brain injuries to name a few.

I encourage therapists to train with Arjana Brunschwiler. She emulates a true desire and sophistication to instruct and guide her students to be fully aware of all that may come to the surface from the subconscious mind and physical body during a WaterDance therapy session. She has an innate ability to integrate the clinal and spiritual realms so delicately. I so look forward to applying the aquatic and somatic knowledge gained clinically into my Integrative Medicine practice.

We are buoyed in a warm capsule of water eyes closed we sink down to a time of childhood’s past. The timeless teachings of Waterdance emerges into archetypal forms and passages to light, dark with many streaming hues of vivid magenta color. Synchronized by a mantra of breath we rise and fall together as giver and receiver. So the dance begins. We paint strokes of shadows amidst a crimson chasm and swallow the nourishment of life. We uncover the secrets of the deep and the bottom of the breath. The patterns that hold us and the ones that propel us toward our purpose. What a journey of somatic and spiritual awareness we embark upon.

Arjana Brunschwiler’s approach and wisdom of the ways of water and the dance are a timeless guide to our internal subconscious world. Arjana is a true treasure of the deep. She is a pioneering brainchild in the somatic aquatic field. A mangrove of water magic. She emulates a true sophistication and desire to instruct and guide her students to be fully aware of all that may come to the surface for our patients/clients and ourselves as the therapist while utilizing the medium and therapeutic techniques of Waterdance. As an Occupational therapist, Chinese Medicine practitioner and Watsu practitioner I highly recommend her trainings to therapists that wish to partake and journey into the deep therapeutic waters of Waterdance. She purely integrates and weaves an organic and holistic tapestry to the water work. A resonating Yes to Arjana’s water teachings and wisdom.
